About

I am a member of both the Institute of Tourist Guiding and the Guild of British Tourist Guides.
Apart from guiding, I have been a member of the Guild of Stewards of St George’s Chapel for 20 years where I run the many school tours – my school teaching coming back to haunt me! I am passionate about St George’s Chapel and I am available for private tours of the chapel and have done quite a few since the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
I am also a keen amateur actress, performing annually in plays and panto in both Brunei and later Hong Kong. Here in the UK, I perform in at least 4 plays a year, plus outdoor Shakespeare (my other passion). I love panto and have had the privilege to perform in front of royalty in Windsor Castle, including non other than the late, great Queen Elizabeth, who also had a love of pantomime. I still remember the twinkle in her eye when we met after the show. King Charles has given us the green light to perform again in November in the splendour which is the Waterloo Chamber.
I have also been a supporting artist on an episode of Midsomer Murders that was filmed out at Harefield. The episode is called ‘The Lions of Causton’ and it was filmed in both Henley and Hurley.
I offer a variety of walking tours, lectures, talks and presentations, before and after dinner talks and boat commentaries.
I have been a life-long member of the prestigious Richard III Society and was present in Leicester with the society when the king was buried in Leicester Cathedral.
